A SPECIAL BOND

      Some years ago, there lived on the outskirts of kampala, a mother and her baby  
      
      son. The baby's father, a sergeant in the army, had been killed in a war some time back.

              One evening, the mother had to go out for something important, so she bathed and

      put the baby in bed. when she was sure that her percious child was fast asleep, she hurried

      out. but alas! she had forgotten to put out the lantern before she went out. A cat knocked

     it over and within no time the table cloth and rug were ablaze. before long, the whole house

     was burning firecely.

              A nighbour, on seeing the smoke, raised alarm soon the whole neighbourhood was comb-

             ating the fire. by this time, the first had spread and smoke was pouring out of every

             window. The fire brigade was summoned but they too were unsuccessful in the putting it

             out. Suddenly, a piercing cry was heard." MY Baby!" and the mother of the chid was seen

             rushing through the throng of spectators. the brave little mother wanted to dash towards

             the ferocious bonfire, but the firemen restrained her.


             They shouted, "you cannot survive this fire," "Let me go!" she cried, and with super-

    human strength pushed the strong firemen aside. without a though for her own safety, she plunged,

    through the thick smoke ans into the ranging furnace to her little chil. The firemen were right,

    nobady could survive that dire, and when it was over, the mother was found with her baby tightly

    clasped in the arms.


            How wonderful is the love of a mother! can you imagine anything your mother wouldn't

    do for you? if she had refused ever, it must inevitable had to be for your own betterment.

    Don't you think, therfore, own you must do with utmost zeal whatever she ask you to do ?

    Iam sure she would appreciate it. Mother's love is very powerful. nothing can defeat it. there

    is no one like a mother in the whole world.
